What does unmetered or unlimited bandwidth mean?

Many providers advertise "unlimited" bandwidth. Read the small print in their terms and conditions and you'll realise the connectivity is not only limited, you'll be sharing your connection with other servers.

At Redstation, we do things differently. We don't mislead our customers about bandwidth - we tell you exactly what you're going to get and what the limits are. All connections are delivered over our diverse core with active capacity in excess of 110Gbps. Our network links are utilised to an average of less than 40% of capacity before upgrades which ensures your bandwidth is of premium quality.

Premium Dedicated Bandwidth

All Redstation servers come with a single premium bandwidth routing policy. Best path routing is performed to find the optimal path for your traffic from our core and Redstation only selects premium providers for upstream bandwidth. Your traffic will never be routed via a low cost ISP ensuring you receive the same quality bandwidth as our IP Transit customers.

You can utilise 100% of the bandwidth, 100% of the time - you will not be sharing your bandwidth with any other customers.

Bandwidth allocation

All Redstation servers have a bandwidth allocation, you may use upto this allocation of bandwidth - but don't worry. Redstation charge no overusage fees and if you do exceed your bandwidth allocation then we will simply cap your speed and attempt to contact you. You shall receive no overusage bills or demands for extortinate payments.

Need more bandwidth?

If you find you are exceeding your bandwidth allocation and wish to increase your bandwidth then no problem, Redstation can add extra bandwidth to your server in simple blocks of 10TB units. Remember no overusage fees apply and Redstation will never demand payment for excess bandwidth used.

Special 1PB Terms

Our 1PB Servers offer not only our fastest connections but an incredible 1 Petabyte of data allowance. You may upload a maximum of 1 Petabyte. Downloads are limited to 200TB, still much more than included with any other package!

Reliable, fast and secure

Redstation's high speed connectivity is delivered via fully diverse dark fibre and DWDM links in our network core. Redstation only use transit from Tier 1 providers for the ultimate speed and reliability.
