What does unmetered or unlimited bandwidth mean?
Many providers advertise "unlimited" bandwidth. Read the small print in their terms and conditions and you'll realise the connectivity is not only limited, you'll be sharing your connection with other servers.
At Redstation, we do things differently. We don't mislead our customers about bandwidth - we tell you exactly what you're going to get and what the limits are.
Option One: 100 Mbps Unmetered Bandwidth
Your server will be connected to the internet via a 100 Mbps data line and is provided with unmetered bandwidth.
A high user resource policy applies to customers who transfer in excess of 10TB per month (which is an average in excess of 30 Mbps). Customers affected by the high user resource policy may be contended on a ratio of no more than 10:1 and will continue to benefit from unmetered bandwidth and 100 Mbps subject to availability.
Redstation will never rate limit your connection or disconnect your server due to high usage. What's more with Redstation you will never receive demands to lower your bandwidth or pay over usage fees.
Customers with a 100 Mbps data line who are not affected by our high user resource policy will not be contended.
Option Two: 10 Mbps Unmetered Bandwidth
Your server will be connected to the internet via a 10 Mbps data line and is provided with unmetered bandwidth.
You can utilise 100% of the bandwidth, 100% of the time - you will not be sharing your bandwidth with any other customers nor will you be subjected to a fair usage policy.
