Operating System

Choose from Fedora, CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu, FreeBSD, Solaris, VMWare ESX, Windows Server 2003 or Windows Server 2008.

Remote server control

The Dell Remote Access Card (DRAC) provides you with continuous access to your server hardware and operating system from a web browser, even if the server is down.

Unlimited administrator access

You will have unrestricted and unlimited Administrator access to your dedicated server using either Remote Desktop for Windows servers or SSH or Telnet for Linux and Unix servers.

Install any applications

As the Administrator, you can install any licensed software on your dedicated server.

High speed internet connection

At Redstation, every dedicated server benefits from an 100 Mbps data line connecting it directly to the internet - for the ultimate in speed and reliability.

Secure private network

Many dedicated server providers cut corners by installing your server on the same Local Area Network (LAN) as their other customers' servers which poses a significant security risk and also means another customer could monopolise network resources making your server inaccessible. Redstation has invested in the very latest Cisco networking technology to deliver a high-speed secure private Local Area Network for every dedicated server.

Your own IP range

Each dedicated server includes 8 IP addresses. Three of these will be used as part of your secure private LAN which leaves 4 available for use. Just one IP number can be used to host unlimited websites but additional IP numbers are useful for assigning to secure (SSL) certificates.

Automatic security updates

Each day your server will automatically check to see if any security patches have been released - and if required it will install them (this feature is dependent on the operating system selected).

Remote power control

Should you ever get locked out, you can remotely reboot your dedicated server at any time of the day or night using your DRAC card.

Redundant hard disks

Servers can be ordered with two identical hard disks and a RAID controller to mirror your data across two disks.

24 hour telephone support

If there is a problem with your server, the best support in the industry is just a phone call away - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Upto 256 IP addresses can be assigned to your server.

Dedicated Firewall

Every dedicated server includes software to protect it from harmful activity - and for customers with more demanding or complicated firewall requirements we can provide a dedicated Cisco firewall. A dedicated firewall exclusively protects your dedicated server and allows you to create custom firewall rules and VPN connections.

External USB drive

Add an external USB storage drive - ideal for backing up important files at a very low cost.
